showHive, Inc., announces the premier of a new production show and creative development package for the luxury cruise line, Oceania Cruises. The entertainment package, which was created by showHive, includes a suite of six intimate, music-centric production shows, two production “bumpers” and six cabaret shows. (PHOTO GALLERY below.)
showHive founder, Emmett Murphy, says, “Our commitment to pushing the boundaries of theatrical entertainment has encouraged the showHive creative team to develop unique theatrical experiences that will resonate with discerning audiences with sophisticated musical expectations.” The new shows were deployed onboard the vessels of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, Ltd., including Oceania Cruises in the Spring of 2016.
showHive provided turn-key show creation services, including show development, soundtrack arranging and recording, choreography, lighting design, multimedia and projection design, costume design and procurement, casting oversight, cast rehearsal and show installation services.
The new shows focus on live musical performances incorporating singers, dancers and live musicians, including multi-instrumentalists and a string quartet. The performances are integrated with innovative multimedia and LED technology and are well-suited for this upper-premium brand.
Garrett Caine, showHive’s Chief Technical Producer, who is overseeing the media development, design and technology integrations, notes that, “showHive is making a significant commitment to using available technologies to enhance the storytelling process, not just as special effects.”
The new shows were conceived and directed by Emmett Murphy. Technical Production, Multimedia, Projection and Lighting Design by Garrett Caine. Original musical arrangements by jazz composer and recording artist, Christian Tamburr. Choreography has been created by Broadway vetted Jessica Hartman and Jennifer Savelli. Costume Design by the legendary Mistinguett, Multimedia developed by TJ Mitchell. Scenic Design by Tom Cluff.
